The Story
From Whittier Boulevard to Queensland
East L.A. born, Brisbane-based — MarTinman grooves where Lowrider Funk meets Street Soul. His sound blends deep bass, '70s soul, and modern hip-hop swagger into something timeless and cinematic.
Each track tells a story — of hustle, love, and rhythm — from late-night cruises down Whittier Boulevard to long days chasing dreams under the Queensland sun.
MarTinman's music bridges cultures and generations: Chicano pride, blue-collar grit, and global soul. It's music built for motion — for those who rise early, grind hard, and never stop creating.
Behind the music is Martin Alderette, bringing together his East L.A. roots with years of discipline from military service as a Royal Australian Air Force Flight Lieutenant. From deployments across East Timor, Solomon Islands, Papua New Guinea, Iraq and Afghanistan, to creating beats that move souls — every experience feeds the sound.
